About Real Souvenir Publishing

Expert publishing and fundraising custom designed for historical centers.

Our Services

“Real” Souvenir Publishing is a pioneer in the field of creating fun souvenirs for museums, historical societies, genealogical societies, Main Street Associations, and other history centers.  We pride ourselves in the quality of our product and the uniqueness of our proven fundraiser.  Over the past several years “Real” Souvenir has grown and continues to create decks of cards for just about every state in the United States of America.  From small towns and villages with a population of 400 or more, to counties, larger cities, state organizations and more.  Our fundraising program has been a huge success and has helped many historical organizations raise much needed funds for their organization.

Since 2005 “Real” Souvenir has had a vision to provide the best quality playing cards and jigsaw puzzles to the history centers around our country.  Since that time we have produced hundreds of “fun” souvenirs that have raised literally thousands of dollars for various organizations.  Most of those dollars raised were done with no out of budget expense!

We know and understand that museum fundraisers are a lot of work!  One of the biggest decisions for your organization is often deciding what type of fundraiser you want to do.  We also know there are a lot of popular commercial fund raising ideas out there for your organization but very few are designed specifically for a history center like this one.  It is our hope that you will give this idea a gander, and check out our unique program.

Top quality products and a unique fundraiser program for museums, historical societies, genealogical societies, chambers of commerce and more make us very unique.  We invite you to look around, learn and then use the contact us form to drop us a note if you want more information.

Custom Forms

We create custom fundraising forms for your Real Souvenir project.  This not only helps the fundraising portion of your project flow smoother but it helps you kick off the selling of your souvenir(s).

User Friendly

Not everyone has a college degree in computers! So we do what we can to make our Real Souvenir project as user friendly as possible.

Fundraising Dynamics

We have learned the dynamics and power of the fundraising portion of our project.  Without our tested fundraising forms and information your project will most likely either fail or sell drastically slower.

Quality Assurance

Our established relationships with manufacturers help insure the quality of our products.  Top quality no matter where it comes from in the world.

  • “Jim these look great.”

    Peggy M, Cañon City

  • “The card decks have been a big hit. We only have about 400 left. We had our big 125th Celebration July 14-16 and many were sold during the event. Sales may slow down a little now that the event is over, but we know we’ll be able to continue selling them until they are all gone. It was a great project that people have really appreciated.”

    Sandi J, South Dakato

  • “The cards arrived on Monday and we’ve already sold a couple dozen decks! Everyone thinks it’s a great idea.”

    Bonnie A, Cloverdale

  • “Playing card sales have been off the hook. At times I have had to unplug my phone to stop taking order so I can focus on other projects. I believe we have sold roughly 450 decks so far. We will be getting them into retail shops soon as well. “

    Jamie C, Conway

  • “We have about 300 left which is completely fine with us. Huge possitive response from it and you should be getting pretty busy with more people around us wanting to do the same thing”

    Nancy L, Creede

  • “They are doing very well. People have been very happy with the cards. The town’s 175th anniversary celebration will culminate in June and we should have an ample amount for that event yet.”

    Katie, Ferdinand

  • “The banks are now restocked, the newsrelease went out and we have sold a number in the office since I was on the radio. All is well!”

    Lesa, Nebraska

  • “We’ve done very well with the cards. They are not sold out yet but we expect that will happen by the end of March.”

    Toni, Cleveland

  • “I want to thank you for all that you did in producing our deck of cards. Leora shipped me some decks this week and it was the first time that I saw them. I like them a lot. The tuck box looks great! Other people who have seen the cards have been very complimentary.”

    Kristen, Morgantown

  • “The card decks arrived Friday afternoon and they are AWESOME!!! We are most pleased. Thank you for all your help along the way.”

    Jan, Rockwall

  • “We received the cards on the 14th and 15th of September, and we have about 360 decks left! There is still money out from decks that were taken to be sold, but I think this project was wonderful! We are looking at doing a second deck, but I need to catch my breath first!”

    Karen, Ohio

  • “Thanks for the note. Overall sales went well, I know we have a 1 + case left over, but if the holiday season is like last year’s they all should be gone.”

“I appreciate all the guidance, patience and the overall ease of working with you folks, made my job a breeze.”

    Jeffrey, South Dakota

  • “Everything went rather well. We had presold almost 440 decks and currently have just over a hundred of the total order left.”

“It was an excellent fund raiser for our Community Foundation and have considered doing an additional deck.”

    Troy, Viborg

  • Two successful years. The cards went over well and there is talk of repeating.

    Deanna, Vigo County

  • “Sales went real well. I think we probably have about 80 decks left and hope to make a push at Christmas to get most of those sold. They were a very nice deck of cards and we had lots of compliments. Thanks so much for getting these pushed through in time for us to have them for our celebration.”

    Karla, Warsaw

  • “Everyone who bought the cards loved them. We didn’t sell out, but that’s fine because we continue to feature them in our gift shop and bring them to the booths that we have at the fairs and such and always sell a few packs like that too. All in all we thought it was a very good fundraiser.”

    Larry Ann, Wayne County

Brief History

“Real” Souvenir Publishing is located in Circleville, Ohio and is operated as part of Newt’s Games & Playing Cards, a division of The E-Quiver, Inc. Family of Companies.  “Real” Souvenir was originally started as an effect of a unique deck of historical playing cards that we created for Circleville, Ohio.  After the deck was a HUGE success locally we started having surrounding towns asking us if we would help them create a deck.  So we did!  Back in 2005 we were originally only doing decks for folks that were located in Ohio.  When our decks started floating out to various history centers across the US we had to create a plan that would work for many!  Each organization wanted to create their own deck of cards so we developed our unique trademark fundraising program to help them.

The key to any fundraising effort is trying to find a sponsor to underwrite what you are trying to do. When you get someone to sponsor your product you are able to raise more proceeds or profit.  The problem is, in this economy, many people or businesses just do not have the extra funds or budget to sponsor museum events.  The items here at “Real” Souvenir Publishing go beyond just raising much needed funds, they also help folks in your area either advertise their business or share memories.  The part that really makes it great is your sponsors not only get to feel good about helping you, but they can take home one of the decks or puzzles you create.

One of the best parts about Newt’s “Real” Souvenir Publishing is not only the fact that we can help an organization create a souvenir with no out of pocket expense, but we will help them through every step of the process.  We not only know playing cards and puzzles, but we continue work to have the best fundraising program out there.  We have digital files, printed pages and more to help make the process flow easier.  We even offer simplified pricing that includes a complete “Souvenir Edition” package that makes it easier for organizations who do not have an art department.

One of the biggest things to remember is yes, you can do a “Real” Souvenir deck for any special occasion, but you can also do one each year or however often you wish.  Each souvenir we do has an “Edition” number which not only lets you know where you’re at, but lets other folks know that there are past editions or future editions will happen.  So don’t limit yourself to thinking you can only do one deck or puzzle and you’re done!  This is a fund raiser you can do over and over again by either changing the theme, changing the images or any thing.  The options are endless and the amount of times you do a deck can be endless too!

No upfront cost means no risk to your historical organization.  With tighter and tighter budgets having a way to raise funds BEFORE you pay have become not only popular, but vital.  Once your organization chooses to do our fundraiser we send you everything you need to get started and it costs you nothing to get started.

We invite you to contact us and find out more information about this very unique fundraiser.

Not only does our team have over 10 years of experience, but we have created a historical deck for our town and participated in the fundraising projects with area non-profits.

Our collaboration with multiple manufacturers both abroad and in the United States helps insure the highest quality products.

We help create the tools to help make your fundraising project successful.  With coaching and practical experience we’ve learned doing the fundraisers themselves we not only use what works, but we adapt as things change.

Let’s talk about your project!
